Like most plus size women out there, I was really happy when I heard Forever 21 was releasing a new plus sized clothing line called Faith 21. I thought finally I can get cute, plus sized clothes for a good price.
Well, I caution all of you plus size women reading this, Forever 21 has a very clouded view of what plus size is. Below is a copy of the Faith 21 sizing chart:
Now after reading this, I was quite disgusted with Forever 21′s views of plus sizes. I do not consider a size 16 to be plus sized or a size 12 for that matter. I think a lot of girls/women between these sizes would not lump themselves into the plus size group. This kind of oversight is helping fuel the body image problems that a lot of girls and even grown women are having in this day in age.
This is from the same company that call Kim Kardashian plus size – If Kim K is a plus size then must be a beached whale.
I would really hope anyone who thinks along the same line as me will voice this concern to Forever 21.
