During last nights “So You Think You Can Dance” Paramount pictures debuted the first trailer for its re-make of the 1984 classic “Footloose”.  For those not aware, “Footloose” is the movie credited for making Kevin Bacon into the star he is today.  Its a classic 80′s movie that like so many others is getting a modern re-telling.

The 2011 Footloose stars Kenny Wormald (who replaced Chase Crawford; who replaced Zac Efron) as Ren “McCormick”, Julianne Hough steps into Lori Singer’s shoes as “Ariel Moore”, Miles Teller as “Willard” who was played by Chris Penn,  and Randy Quaid takes on John Lithgow’s role of “Rev. Shaw Moore.”

There are some strikingly similar scenes between the two trailers including the famous barn dance scene.
