It is that time again to celebrate the best in music videos with the annual MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).  The nominees for the 2011 MTV VMA’s were announced live this evening by pop star Katy Perry.

It is Katy herself that walked away with the most nominations, a total of 9, for her videos “Firework”,”E.T. feat Kanye West”, and “Teenage Dream”. Coming in second is British powerhouse Adele who scored 7 nominations for her hit “Rolling in the Deep”.  Kayne West can’t be too upset as he walks away with 6 nominations for “All of the Lights” and “Power”, and master writer/producer/performer Bruno Mar’s nabed 4 nods including a nomination for Best Video of the Year.
