Fabulous, Fun, Whimsical Handbags of Hester van Eeghen

Handbags in our opinion might be one of the most import accessories you own. Handbags can make a statement and turn your LBD into something amazing, they can also show off your personality. While we love the classics as much as the next girl, we also love fun, whimsical, statements bags.

We were thrilled when we were invited to meet dutch accessory designer Hester van Eeghen and see her amazing designs up close. Hester started off making small wallets and selling them in a dutch open market and once word spread, she expanded to making everything from wallets, handbags to shoes. She works with some of the best Italian craftsmen to turn her designs into amazing products.

Our favorite designs include the “Klipper” diagonal bag which is a great everyday bag that can be either a handheld satchel or a shoulder bag. The “Mink” bags are beautifully unique as Hester uses the Mink fur trimming that would normally be destroyed and weaves them together to great a unique bag each time. Perhaps our favorite bag is the “Monocle” which puts a fun twist on color-blocking and is a fabulous statement piece.
