Each package comes with 3 sets of lip patterns for easy application, as well as step-
by-step instructions. The only supplies needed are scissors and a wet cotton ball. The
pattern has marks on the back to help with cutting it to size, but I found this to be a little
tricky. Too small and you don’t have full coverage, too large and it bunches up and peels
off. After the tattoo is cut to size, it is the exact same process as any temporary tattoo.
Holding the tattoo on your lips while simultaneously blotting it with the cotton ball and
making sure not to move the tattoo proved difficult. After the top and bottom are applied,
be sure to hold your mouth in the “Ahh” shape for at least 5 minutes. If you close your
mouth while the lips are still wet, they will stick to each other and ruin the tattoo (spoken
from experience).

The package indicated the tattoos will last up to 8 hours, but that will only happen if
you don’t eat or drink anything. I made sure to drink only out of straws, and my tattoo
lasted about 4 hours before it started to flake off. In addition, the second I smiled, the
tattoo developed cracks, making it look like I had chapped lips. I applied clear gloss and
it seemed to camouflage the cracks. By the end of the night, I didn’t need to remove the
tattoo with baby oil as was recommended since it had almost completely rubbed off.
They were definitely were a conversation starter and huge crowd pleaser.
