Lorena Sarbu Fall 2012

Lorena Sarbu was one of those collections that you just keep replaying over and over again in your head. Maybe it was the excellent use of red or the stunning emerald green gown, we just don’t know. What we do know is that Lorena is extremely fond of the sweetheart neckline, but we’re not complaining. One of our favorite pieces had to be a lace floral bodice dress; with a hemline coming just above the knee.

The expert use of beading and sequins make our heart beat faster and slower at the same time. What spoke to us most was the details; for example, a simple red dress with floral lace cutouts in the hips or a feathered skirt. What we can’t get out of our minds is an amazing emerald green grown that we mentioned before. A sequin deep v-neck cascading down into an endless amount of ruffles.
Overall, the collection was strong and cohesive. It told the story of a woman who doesn’t need a great handbag or killer necklace to make her outfit; she lets her clothes do the talking.
