If you haven’t heard of the novel “The Host” do yourself a favor and download/check-out/purchase a copy now and get to reading. ”The Host” is a novel by Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer and instead of dealing with brooding, love-struck vampires, Stephenie wrote about aliens taking over the world.
The film adaptation of the novel was picked up by Open Road Films and now the first teaser trailer and first images have been released. The trailer might be short, but that doesn’t make it any less creepy.
“The Host” stars Saoirse Ronan (HANNA, THE LOVELY BONES, ATONEMENT), Max Irons (RED RIDING HOOD), Jake Abel (I AM NUMBER FOUR, PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS), Diane Kruger (INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, UNKNOWN), William Hurt (INTO THE WILD, THE INCREDIBLE HULK) and Frances Fisher (TITANIC).
“The Host” hits theaters March 29, 2013 (yep, one year away, plenty of time to read the book
