ABC has picked up nine pilots for series for the networks 2012-13 season.

After renewing just about everything except “GCB”, “Pan Am”, “The Missing”, and “The River”, ABC has ordered that  5 new dramas and 4 new comedies be picked-up for series.

New Dramas

“Nashville” – Starring Connie Britton (“American Horror Story”, “Friday Night Lights”), this new drama will go behind the scenes of the country-music business.

“Zero” – Starring Anthony Edwards, Michael Nyqvist, Carmen Ejogo, Scott Michael Foster, Addison Timlin and Jacinda Barrett will follow the editor of a skeptics magazine as he gets involved in a big compelling conspiracy.

“Red Widow” – Starring Radha Mitchell Lee Tergesen, Luke Goss, Rade Sherbedzija, Wil Traval, Suleka Mathew, Jaime Ray Newman, Sterling Beaumon, Jakob Salvati, Erin Moriarty and Mido Hamada will revolves around the widow (Mitchell) of an assassinated criminal who is forced to adopt her husband’s role in a crime syndicate in order to protect her family.

“666 Park Ave.“ – Starring Dave Annable, Rachael Taylor will center on a young couple as they manage one of the most historic apartment buildings in New York City as they unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences that complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the building. Based on the book by Gabriella Pierce. Will also star Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Mercedes Masohn, Robert Buckley and Helena Mattsson.

“The Last Resort” – Follows the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine who, after ignoring an order to fire nuclear missiles, wind up being hunted and escape to a NATO outpost where they declare themselves to be the world’s smallest nuclear nation. Starring  Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Autumn Reeser, Jessy Schram, Daniel Lissing, Camille de Pazzis, Sahr Ngaujau and Dichen Lachman.

Two dramas “Devious Maids” and fashion industry soap “Americana,” are both still pending to hear if they will find a home at ABC.

New Comedies 

“Neighbors” – Follows a family that moves into a coveted New Jersey gated community only to discover that the entire neighborhood is comprised of aliens disguised as humans. Starring Lenny Venito, Jami Gertz, Isabella Cramp, Clara Mamet, Max Charles, Simon Templeman, Toks Olagundoye Tim Jo and Ian Patrick.

“Family Tools”  - Centers on a man who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father.  Starring Kyle Bornheimer, Leah Remini, Edi Gathegi, Johnny Pemberton and Danielle Nicolet.

“How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life” – Follows a recently divorced single mom who moves in with her eccentric parents. Starring Sarah Chalke, Elizabeth Perkins, Brad Garrett, Orlando Jones, John Dore, Rachel Eggleston and Rebecca Delgado Smith.

“Malibu Country” – Centers on a woman who moves her mother and three kids from Nashville to Malibu.  Starring Reba McEntire, Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue, Julietta Angelo, Justin Prentice, Jai Rodriguez and Owen Teague.
