An Evening with 2012 Tony Nominee Laura Osnes

There are only a few days left till the 2012 Tony Awards and we were thrilled with the chance to spend an evening with nominee Laura Osnes came up.

Accessory expert (and good friend Kimmie Smith) of Kitten Lounge and celebrity hairstylist and writer of Serafino Says Kristan Serafino have come together to create Accessharize, where celebrities share their beauty and fashion secrets with a small group of bloggers and editorial sites.

To kick-off Accessharize, we got talk with Broadway star Laura Osnes, who is nominated for a Tony Award for her role as Bonnie in the musical “Bonnie and Clyde”.

Laura (who is a total sweetheart) talked to use about how she can never leave the house without wearing the basics of foundation, mascara, a little blush, and lipgloss; and how her hair is so straight that she can go to bed with wet hair and walk up looking like her took a flat iron to it.  When it comes to stage make-up gone are the days of packing on the pancake make-up and now days its all about “street” makeup like MAC, NARS or Make-up Forever and getting her “look” designed my a makeup artist.

To keep her skin healthy, Laura loves make-up remover wipes (like Koh Gen Do Cleansing Water Cloths) to get the make-up off as soon as the show is over followed by a more in-depth skin care routine at home.

When it comes to accessories, Laura admitted is an earring girl, and very rarely seen without a pair on.  Her other big accessory that she is never without are her wedding rings.

Laura got her start in Broadway thanks to a reality show that cast her as the lead “Sandy” in the revival of “Grease” which she stared in for one year.  She then moved to “South Pacific” and “Anything Goes” before getting now Tony nominated role in “Bonnie and Clyde”

Her dream role would be starring as ‘Belle’ from “Beauty and the Beast” but come this fall she will be taking on the role of another fairy tale princess in the revival of “Cinderella”.

The fabulous James Bentley Salon hosted the Accessharize event.  The James Bentley Salon (Located on W 57th between 10th & 11th Aves) is a super chic and stylish salon that is a secret gem here in New York City.  The staff is super friendly and welcomed all of us with up arms.

Guests got to snack on some Tony themed cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes and wine from Bartenura
