Summer TV is in full swing and we’ve already told you about one great show The CW’s “Breaking Pointe” and now its time for another new offering, ABC Family’s “Bunheads”.

Here is what you need to you know.  ”Bunheads” comes from the creator of “Gilmore Girls” Amy Sherman-Palladino, which frankly was all we needed to hear, and stars Kelly Bishop (also from “Gilmore Girls”) and two time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster.  The show takes place in Paradise, CA which is another small quirky town filled with quirky characters.

Foster plays ‘Michelle’ as Vegas showgirl who just happens to be a highly trained ballerina (studied at ABT) gets married on a whim to a shoe designer Hubbell and heads off to her new home of Paradise, CA.

Bishop plays Hubbell’s mother ‘Fanny Flowers’ and the owner and teacher at the local dance studio and is none to pleased to hear about her son’s quick Vegas mariage.

“Bunheads” shows the charm and whit we all know and love from Palladino combined with the star quality (and amazing dance skills of) of Foster.   “Bunheads” is a great Monday night summer show.
