Mariah Carey is coming back with a vengeance!  The five-time Grammy Award winning global superstar with a five-octave range has confirmed to be releasing a nail polish collection with OPI.

The first part of the collection, which will feature eight shades will launch in January 2013 with the second part launching later in the year.  While OPI normally has a “one collection per celebrity” policy, the company has stated that Mariah Carey’s superstardom is large, it warrants two collections.

“OPI is thrilled to work with Mariah, an industry icon who loves nails and considers lacquer one of her favorite accessories,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “With her magnetic personality both on and off the stage, Mariah serves as a great inspiration for beautiful, bold colors.”

Carey is also celebrating the release of her new single – the first since her twins were born last year – titled “Triumphant (Get ’Em)” (available now) and as we reported earlier is taking over for Jennifer Lopez as a judge on FOX’s hit show American Idol.
