My generation was the nineties and it was a decade full of trends like grunge, The Spice Girls, and Donna Karan. It was in the mid-90’s that I first fell in love with the designs of Donna Karan and DKNY, in fact my first DKNY purchase was a NYC Skyline t-shirt that sadly got lost in between several moves. Well now the fashion of the nineties is coming back thanks to a new capsule collection from DKNY and Opening Ceremony.
Starting tomorrow, February 1, 2013 DKNY and Opening Ceremony are re-opening the archives and bringing back some of DKNY’s best designs that include looks from spring 92′, fall and resort 94′ and more.
“DKNY was a pioneer of streetwear fashion in the Nineties, we have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today.” said Opening Ceremony cofounder Carol Lim
The collection will be available both in Opening Ceremony retail locations and online . Prices will range from $145 to $665 and I for one am looking forward to getting back a piece of fashion that I thought was long gone.
