Exclusive: Anthony Lombardi Chats About The Glamour State

Did you know that glitter was invented in New Jersey? What about smudge-proof lipstick or that the factory that first built the Singer sewing machine both came from New Jersey?  Me either but these are just a few of the facts that hair stylist and Jerseylicious star Anthony Lombardi tells in his and co-star Olivia Blois‘ new book The Glamour State: 225 Years of Stylish Innovation.

I was able to chat with Anthony about his new book which will be available on Amazon.com starting April 1, 2013.  Inspired by the 225 years of fantastic events that the New Jersey has celebrated included legends like Frank Sinatra or the Miss America pageant, Anthony wanted to show off his home state in a way that people as never seen before and by including his Jerserylicious friends and family.

Anthony - Frank SinatraFans will instantly recognize Jerserylicious cast members as they recreate some of New Jersey’s most glamourous moments, places, and people like the first casino in Atlantic City featuring Tracy, Filly, Briella and Jeff or Frank Sinatra portrayed by Anthony himself.

Jerseylicious viewers have seen the entire process of the book during the current season of the show and now this Sunday, March 31 fans will get a look into the book launch party and Anthony did tease that a little drama would play out “everyone came out in support of this book and we made it almost to the end with no drama, but there is some drama in there”.

“When people pick up the book, I want them to realize all the hard work and time that went into this book.  We shot 20 images in 2 days, there were a lot of sleepless nights involved. I want them to read the text and hopefully people will learn some fun facts about NJ”

The Glamour State: 225 Years of Stylish Innovation is available starting April 1, 2013 and and all new episode of Jerseylicious airs Sunday night, March 31 at 8/7c on Style.
