Breaking Dawn Pt 2 Has the Most Wins at 2013 Teen Choice Awards

The Teen Choice Awards aired live tonight with Glee star Darren Criss and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale served as hosts for the night at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

As it was The Twilight Saga’s last year to be nominated for the Teen Choice Awards, it was no surprise that Breaking Dawn Part 2 had the most wins of the night. The cast won seven awards including Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice Movie: Romance. Pitch Perfect won all three Movie: Comedy awards, as well as Choice Movie Villain for Adam Devine.

In the TV categories, it was Pretty Little Liars and Glee who had the most wins with four each. PLL won all the Choice TV: Drama awards and Choice TV Villian for Janel Parrish. Glee won Choice TV Show: Comedy and Lea Michele won Choice TV Actress: Comedy, which led to the most emotional moment of the night. Lea Michele dedicated her award to the late Cory Monteith. She thanked everyone for their support over the last few weeks and told everyone that “with your love, we’re gonna get through this together”. Many in the audience were teary eyed including Tia and Tamera Mowry and Harry Styles.

Demi Lovato was the big solo winner of the night. The singer, actor and The X Factor judge won four awards. She won Choice TV Personality: Female, Choice Female Artist, Choice Single: Female Artist for Heart Attack, and Candie’s Choice Style Icon

Ashton Kutcher was given the Ultimate Choice Award or as he calls it “the old guy award”. In his speech, he told the audience that he was a fraud because Ashton is not his real name but really it is his middle; his actual name is Chris. He also gave some life advice to the teen crowd and said, “Everything around us that we call life was made up by people who are no smarter than you. You can build a life that other people can live in. Build your life, don’t live it”.
