If there are two things I hardly ever wear its color and print. Why you ask? Well I like to blame the old-school rules (circa 1998) that only dark solid colors work for the curvy/plus size ladies of the world.
Thankfully it’s 2014 and as well all know, those old rules are bullshit and we now have awesome options to pick from that allow us to wear color, print and in most cases a combo of both.
December is a busy month and this look kicks off the first of many holiday party looks you’ll be seeing from me. I’m really embracing this crop-top trend and even though its winter and cold outside, I’ve been able to find some great longer sleeve and even sweater crop options that look great when paired with a high rise skirt.I was really drawn to this look because of the geometric print that had that bright pop of red color. I figured it out stand out a little in the dark gloomy NYC winters.
I was also thrilled to receive a little gift from Rockport Shoes today in the form of their amazing Seven to 7 Wedge Booties. They are the perfect winter shoe as they have great traction, are as comfortable as sneakers, and are chic as hell.
