Happy Hour ~ Twists on the Classic Sour

One of the first cocktails I ever tried was Disaronno Sour. It was so good that for the next 6-months that was all I ever ordered when going out to bars. So this weeks Happy Hour is deadicated to that classic drink but with a few twists.

Disaronno Sparkling Sour

Sparkling Sour

1 ½ part DISARONNO

1 part lemon juice

½  part simple syrup

1 ½ parts Prosecco

Add all ingredients except prosecco into a mixing glass with ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass. Top with prosecco.

 

Disaronno Stone Basil Sour

1 ½ parts DISARONNO

¾ part Lemon Juice

¾ part Orange juice

3 dashes Angostura Bitters

Basil Sprig Garnish

Combine all ingredients and shake. Service over ice. Garnish with basil.

Of course there is nothing wrong with a good old classic, Disaronno Sour

Disaronno Sour High Res

1 part DISARONNO

¾ part of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of sugar

Combine all ingredients and pour over ice. Stir and garnish with lime slice
