Movie News: Dakota Fanning in New Moon!!!
If you haven’t already heard, Dakota Fanning (Uptown Girls, I am Sam) is in talks to play “Jane” in the second movie in the Twilight Saga “New Moon”
I am actually onboard with this. As we’ve seen from her past movies, she is capable of playing a wide range of “types”. It would be nice to see her play such a sadistic role as Jane.
For those not in the know, Jane is a member of the “Volturi”, the Italian vampire guard in the Twilight Saga. Jane has the ability to burn you with her thoughts, so even though she is the size of a young child (think like a 12/13yr old) even the largest vampire won’t cross her.
Both People.com and ew.com have polls up to see who should play her twin brother Alec. Some suggest Tom Felton (Draco from the Harry Potter films). That would be nice, but there is no way they can get him with the last 2 HP films getting ready to shoot around the same time, plus they couldn’t afford him.
I do like the idea of Lucas Grabeel (High School Musical fame). He is pretty unknown outside of the Disney crowd, plus considering Jane and Alec are twins, it works.
