Neil Patrick Harris Confirmed for Harold & Kumar Christmas
Neil Patrick Harris has been confirmed to reprise his role as “NPH” (himself) in the third Harold and Kumar film “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas”.
The film is expected sometime in 2011 (I would think around Christmas 2011).
So far no plot details have been released!!
Breaking News: Peter Jackson Back in Talks to Direct “The Hobbit”
Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) is back in talks to direct what could be 2 ‘Hobbit’ movies.
This comes after director Guillermo del Toro quit the project back in May.
According to sources, Warner Bros/New Line never did any kind of “search” for a new director with hopes of getting Peter Jackson who directed the award winning ‘Lord of the Rings’ back to the project.
More information to come!!
Does 'The Twilight Saga:Eclipse' Have it's Riley???
Several sites such as Eonline, The Hollywood Reporter, and others have reported that Summit Entertainment has cast the role ‘Riley’ in the third Twilight Saga movie, Eclipse.
However, no official press release or statement has been released from Summit Entertainment!!!
I agree with both Twilight Lexicon and His Golden Eyes when they say not to believe casting rumors unless an official release has been made by Summit. Both sites will NOT post casting rumors on their sites, only once Summit has confirmed the casting will the sites post it.
Per Twilight Lexicon:
“Long and short of it: too early for official comment on the studio or actor’s part. This kind of thing genreally not confirmed until ink is way dry on contract. If you’re a huge name like a Brad Pitt you might comment early, but not a relative unknown. Our gut instinct leans yes because THR tends to get it right moreso than they get it wrong. Bottom line remains to be seen.”
Earlier this evening, Kimmy from HGE sent the following Tweet
Don’t trust casting news unless it comes directly from a reputable source, i.e. HGE, the Lexicon, NOT GOSSIP SITES that are mainly paparazzi
Once Summit confirms the casting of ANY role, I will post it up here!!!
MacGruber to hit the big screen?

Both EW.com and MTV Movies are reporting the the SNL skit ‘MacGruber’ is headed to the big screen.
The skit features Will Forte as the MacGruber, who is a parody of MacGuyver from the 1980′s TV Show.
According to both sites Val Kilmer and Ryan Phillippe are being cast in the project, along with Kristin Wiig who plays MacGruber’s wife/sidekick.
In the skit on SNL, MacGruber is always easily distracted from his task at hand resulting in an explosion.
per EW.com via Hollywood reporter
Phillippe would play an Army colonel who recruits the jaded MacGruber (Forte) for a mission to stop a nuclear-armed villain
Earlier this season on SNL Richard Dean Anderson who played MacGuyver in the TV Series made a guest apperance in the skit (which was pretty funny).
I’m not sure how well this skit is going to translate onto the big screen. Most of the SNL skits turned movies are in the good idea/bad execution box.
Breaking Dawn Movie a Go?

Has the fourth novel in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga ‘Breaking Dawn’ been green lit for filiming? Well if you listen to Eonline.com’s ‘Awful Truth’ you may think so.
According to the popular online gossip site:
But Breaking Dawn isn’t exactly as far away as you all would think.
“We’re going to start right after Eclipse,” says Ash.
But to be to quick to belive this. Yes, we all know the Summit Entertainment is working on getting all the Twilight movies made as quickly as possiable, and that Robert Pattinson told reporters during Cannes that ‘Breaking Dawn’ would happen he just wasn’t sure of the timing. The last I heard from script writer Melissa Rosenburg was Summit asked to start re-reading the book to start the process of writing the script.
No official word has come from Summit on this, and trust me I would be there to report on it the second that press release is made!!
Where's Waldo Movie…Really?

According to MTV Movies, Universal Studios is planning on making a live action family film of “Where’s Waldo”, based of the books that have no story line.
Really?? How the hell is Uni going to pull this one off? From what I remember about the “Where’s Waldo” books (mostly from sitting in a doctor’s office with either a WW book or Readers Digest to choose from), all the book(s) contains are pages of people and you have find Waldo.
Good Luck with this Universal!!!
