It may not have beat our ‘The Dark Knight’ but it did make kick off the 2010 Summer Movie Season in the right way.

‘Iron Man 2′ brought in an estimated $133.6 million dollars in its opening weekend.  This gives it the #5 position in the Best All Time Opening Weekends beating out ‘Shrek the Third’.

If you add in the films international gross, ‘Iron Man 2′ has brought in $327.6 million.

No shocker here, ‘Iron Man 2′ landed the top spot at the box office on Friday.

The sequel brought in $52.4 million including $7.2 million from midnight showings.

Well this didn’t break any opening Friday records, it was a big jump from the $38 million the first ‘Iron Man’ brought in in 2008.

‘Iron Man 2′ is predicted to bring in now between $125 – $140 million this weekend.

2010 Summer Movie Season kicked off at 12:01am today with ‘Iron Man 2′!!

‘Iron Man 2′ brought in roughly $7.2million from its midnight showing which is no where near record worthy (‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ holds the highest midnight record).

Box office experts are predicting between $140 million or more for the opening weekend, some even thinking it will beat ‘The Dark Knight’ opener of $158 million.

Overseas ‘Iron Man 2′ has already brought in over $140 million!!
