Per Fox Press Release:

Newcomer Chord Overstreet (“iCarly”) joins the ranks at McKinley as a high school athlete who starts off as Finn’s protégé but becomes his competition. Overstreet has been cast in the recurring role of SAM, and will make his debut in the season premiere episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, Sept. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

I am thinking that this is the much heard about boyfriend for ‘Kurt’ (Chris Coffer).

As previously announced, other notable guest stars in the sophomore season include singing sensation Charice, who comes to McKinley as an exchange student and becomes a formidable rival to one of the glee club’s stars; and heartthrob John Stamos, who plays a dentist and potential love interest for Emma Pillsbury(Jayma Mays)!!

Rounding out the Comic-Con weekend was the ‘Glee’ panel that featured co-creator Ryan Murphy, Chis Coffer, Amber Riley and more.

What did we find out during the hour long panel?  Well we will get less tribute episodes next season as well as less musical numbers per episode.  Last season the average was 8 per episode, next season we will get around 5.   Included in the planned tribute episodes is Britney Spears and after Chris Coffer (Kurt) was asked what musical number he would love to do, his answer of ‘Time Warp’ prompted Murphy to admit they are also planing a ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ episode!!

We will also see more numbers featuring Mercedes, Kurt will get his boyfriend, and shocker of all Tina C. and Artie will break up after Tina C. starts crushing on Mike Chang!!

Murphy also confirmed that both Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth will be back in season 2!!

Its Comic-Con weekend and while we are not there to cover it (sad I know) we are still getting all the good info and sneak peeks!!

Showtime’s all time hit Dexter held their panel on Thursday where Emmy nominee Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar and the show’s executive producers dished about the show’s 5th season that starts on Sunday Sept 26th.

The panel also debuted the new trailer for the 5th season that hinted at what will be going down following Rita’s death.

Also debuting was the trailer for the second season of the Dexter webisodes “DEXTER EARLY CUTS: DARK ECHO”

Showtime just released the new trailer for the new season of Weeds!!

Check out ‘Weeds’ starting on August 16th at 10PM ET/PT only on Showtime

Mark your calenders we’ve got less then 2 months before Vampire Diaries returns for its second season on September 9th.

The CW also announced the return of several other favorites Gossip Girl on 9/13, Supernatural 9/14, and Life Unexpected 9/13.
